From 1 April 2020, legislative changes known as Putting Members' Interests First will come into effect, which means you may lose your insurance cover if you don't take action. These new reforms aim to ensure members' superannuation balances are not unnecessarily eroded by insurance premiums by requiring superannuation funds to only provide insurance on an "opt-in" basis to members whose superannuation balance has not been $6,000 or more on or after 1 November 2019.
